KUDOS Foundation, Uganda

In a world often overshadowed by hardship, the KUDOS Foundation emerged as a beacon of hope. Founded in 2023 by Nayiga Mary and Kyasiima Wobulenzi Grace, this non-governmental organization was born from a deep-seated compassion for those suffering in our community.

The devastating impacts of the AIDS epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic left countless families shattered, with many children facing the unimaginable reality of growing up without parents. These children, once full of dreams, were left to navigate life without the basic necessities—food, shelter, and education.

Recognizing the urgent need for support, the Kudos Foundation stepped in. It became a sanctuary for those who had lost so much, offering not just material aid, but also a sense of belonging and care. The economic struggles in the area, largely driven by a reliance on agriculture, further compounded the challenges families faced. Many were trapped in a cycle of poverty that seemed impossible to escape.

With unwavering determination, the Kudos Foundation set out to transform lives. The mission is clear: to educate and empower youth through basic skills training, and to enlighten the community about income-generating activities. By equipping individuals with the tools they need to thrive, the foundation aims to break the chains of poverty and inspire a new generation of leaders.
